To embrace the spirit of Mental Health, Wellness, and Green Space day, Ms. Lucyshyn taught a pilates class to her 8th period class. They listened to nature sounds including rivers, birdsong, and waterfalls. By focusing on their breath and embracing the sounds of nature, students were able to decompress. Nature sounds in the background of working classes also calmed students as they worked through challenging chemistry questions.

In the Planet Earth Science Elective course, students dissected owl pellets which are the regurgitated remains of their prey. They then used schematics of their skeletons to reconstruct the skeletons of voles, mice and even one mole! The class touches on many aspects of the natural world and wildlife that is all around us despite living in an urban environment.

Take a Stand on Denim Day!
Join us on Friday, April 4, 2025, as we denounce domestic, relationship & every abuse. Students will showcase a Static Exhibition in the Fashion Lab RM 922 during lunch periods 4-7.
This collaboration was made possible by HSFI CTE Fashion Design, Parents Association, RAPP, Clubs ACC, Modeling & Fashion With A Purpose.
