Our Girls Bowling Team is more than just strikes and spares, being part of this team means building friendships, forming a family, having fun, and embracing the competitive spirit together!

Monday Civics Week Task – Environmental and Social Issues Window Display Analysis
Today on Civics Week, 9th and 10th grade students will engage in a thoughtful analysis of our school’s window displays focused around Environmental and Social Issues . The goal is to help students understand how art and merchandising displays can serve as powerful tools for social and cultural change.
Task Overview:
Students will observe and analyze the window displays, paying attention to the visual choices, messaging, and themes presented.
They will consider how these displays reflect social issues, values, and calls to action.
Students will explore how art and merchandising can influence public opinion, raise awareness, and inspire action.
Thank you to Jose Suarez , Deputy Director of Digital Media for capturing the day! #NYCDOESCHOOLS #Civicsweek

Our Boys and Girls Varsity Bowling Team combines competitive spirit with a fun and supportive atmosphere. We welcome bowlers of all levels and focus on improving technique and mental focus.

During Parent Visiting Day at HSFI, our students (and parents!) participated in a Chemistry experiment to determine the amount of Calories burned in a gram of different popular snacks (Doritos, Lays, and Takis) and compared their values with the nutritional labels

In their gene expression unit, AP Biology students conducted a microarray simulation to demonstrate how oncologists can create targeted cancer treatments. Students analyzed whether 16 different genes were being expressed or repressed in the cancer cells of 2 patients. They used this information to analyze the potential adverse effects from different cancer drugs and identify the optimal treatment for each patient based on their molecular profile.
