Lets welcome June with joy an celebration!

Please help us celebrate the innovative work done by our Huntersky Farrell as she will be representing HSFI in Europe Spring 2027 at the Junk Kouture World Finals.

Tuesdays 3:00pm - 4:30pm in room 744

At Ms. Sun’s math tutor, students from different math classes come together to work through problems, compare answers, explain their thinking, and help each other when someone gets stuck.
Students use Chromebooks, calculators, teamwork, and lots of discussion to spot mistakes, explain their thinking, and support each other. Even students from different classes become study partners here.
The room was giving “study group energy” mixed with “wait… I think I got it now!” moments all afternoon!

Students participated in a workshop focused on the deconstruction and upcycling of handbags. Each design team will reimagine and develop a new innovative wearable accessory. HSFI x CHVD JUSTIN

Celebrating birthdays and ready to practice!!!

In Ms. Goldstein’s and Ms. Klepacki’s Algebra 1 class, students combined collaboration, movement, and problem-solving during a Factoring Math Libs activity! Students worked in small groups of 2–3 to factor quadratics using a variety of factoring strategies to uncover the correct words and phrases needed to complete a silly Mad Libs story.
Using vertical learning spaces, students explained their thinking, checked each other’s work, and practiced multiple factoring methods in a fun, engaging way. A classroom full of math conversations, teamwork, and laughter! 🧮✏️

Words That Matter: Spreading Awareness Together
Students and staff came together for an engaging Youth Organization for Disability Awareness (Y.O.D.A) Club activity focused on promoting disability awareness. Through a collaborative word search, participants worked in pairs to identify key terms related to disability and inclusion. Each word sparked meaningful conversations, where students and club members discussed its significance, how it raises awareness, and ways we can continue to grow in our understanding and support of others.
The activity created a space for thoughtful dialogue, reflection, and shared learning, strengthening awareness within our school community. Thank you to all of you who participated!
