HSFI students at the Youth Leader Climate Summit this week!
Students had the opportunity to work alongside Billion Oyster Project to learn about the process of making oyster reefs, restoring oyster reefs to NY Harbor through public education initiatives. "Oyster reefs provide habitat for hundreds of species, and can protect our city from storm damage — softening the blow of large waves, reducing flooding, and preventing erosion along the shorelines."
