In the Planet Earth Science Elective course, students dissected owl pellets which are the regurgitated remains of their prey. They then used schematics of their skeletons to reconstruct the skeletons of voles, mice and even one mole! The class touches on many aspects of the natural world and wildlife that is all around us despite living in an urban environment.

Ms. Leighton’s Illustration & Design juniors led their peers in a class-wide brainstorm to reimagine fairy tales, using illustration to bring more inclusive and diverse perspectives to life.

Last month, our 10th-grade software major students built and coded paper circuits and made interactive valentine cards.
Ms. v. Chan’s 9th-grade Foundation of Studio students explored the art of contour drawing, focusing on observation, line quality, and detail. From blind contour to continuous line techniques, they challenged themselves to see and draw in a whole new way. Love how their unique styles shine through!
