
11th-grade Digital Media students presented their initial designs to the Meatpacking Business Improvement District. Student designers will apply their client’s feedback to their final designs, some of which will be featured on the plaza tabletops throughout the Meatpacking District in November.


Ms. Tee's 10th Grade Graphic Design students are crushing Adobe photoshop! Here they are showcasing their skills by creating their own emojis. The emojis are based on themselves, their favorite celebrity, and a random object.

This week our Genetics students learned about protein synthesis in the body, by simulating a transcription and translation activity. In Chemistry, our students solved the case of the missing element using CSI style "process of suspect elimination" clues!





Mr. Paquet’s Visual Presentation students put their creativity to work by volunteering at Hudson Guild, helping decorate the annual haunted house at their Chelsea offices! Thank you to our talented students for bringing spooky vibes to this beloved community event. 🎃 #HudsonGuild



Senior Studio Fashion Design continues to conduct valuable research. Today Ms. David's class participated in the African Fashion Diaspora Symposium at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Our special thanks to the exhibit curator Ms. Elizabeth Way for recognizing our students' attendance, chaperone class of 2012 Jocelin Williams, and alumnus and FIT Faculty Ms. Nicole Finigan Ndzibah for making this opportunity possible.


Ms. David's 10th Grade Fashion Design students developed a sustainable research design project inspired by a specific artist. Pre-owned T-shirts were deconstructed and reconstructed. Conceptual artwork inspirations and interpretations were applied to the surface of the garments.

An unforgettable day with Ms. Chan's art and design senior portfolio development students at the Tommy Hilfiger archives! 🎉 They had the opportunity to explore exclusive collections and dive deep into the rich history of this iconic brand. From classic designs to groundbreaking fashion moments, the students were inspired by the stories behind the styles.


11th grade Art & Design majors met with the Meatpacking BID for a walking tour and visit to the Whitney Museum of American Art as research and inspiration for their upcoming tabletop design challenge. Select designs will run on top of the cafe tables throughout the Meatpacking District's iconic plazas starting in late Fall.


Last week-Students visited the Met for a "scavenger hunt" of the geometric designs we have been studying in class, exploring galleries: Art of the Arab Lands, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and Later South Asia. Not sure who had more fun the students or Ms. Dye & Ms. LaTanza?!

Our senior textile science class got hands-on our "burn test" lab ! By igniting various unknown fabrics, students learned to identify different fibers based on their unique burning properties. This interactive lesson not only deepened their understanding of textile materials but also sparked curiosity and teamwork among classmates.

This past weekend, our students had a blast working the Meatpacking District’s Treats in the Streets event! From helping out at the dog costume contest to spending the day with the cutest pups, it was an unforgettable experience. A huge thank you to our amazing partner, the Meatpacking District BID, for making this possible! 🐾




Last week, the Restorative Justice team visited our equity and emotion classes. They introduced our class to community building circles. We loved the "silent birthday line-up''. We worked on communicating with one another without using words. Thank you again Ms. Valette and the Restorative Justice team!
