In our Earth and Space Science classes, students used a balloon to simulate the expansion of the Universe following the Big Bang. The balloon itself represents the expansion of space between distant galaxies. They then graphed their measurements to explore the concept of Hubble’s Law.

Hinduism Stations Activity--Global History 9

Students in 9th Grade Global History class completed a stations activity to learn more about Hinduism, within our unit of Ancient Indian Empires.

Students traveled from various learning stations, Karma & Dharma, Reincarnation, the Caste System, and Culture & Traditions, to learn more about the history of Hinduism and how it impacted India's past and present.

At the Culture & Traditions station, students learned about the cultural significance of Mendhi and were able to get temporary Henna tattoos, while snacking on South Asian treats and chai tea.
