Shannon Kohn, Assistant Principal of Mathematics explains,"On the first day of school, HSFI students ease into the year with community building activities rather than going straight into traditional classes. This helps them re-connect and re-acclimate, which is especially important for our 9th graders transitioning from junior high school."

Students in all grades will have a 50 minute block in which they visit computer labs and complete a variety of key onboarding tasks. Seniors will also get a refresher on logging into SCOIR, HSFI's college and career planning network. 

The session wraps with Scavenger Hunt BINGO, a digital partner game to hunt for fun facts on the HSFI website and make new friends at the same time.
