At the High School of Fashion Industries, our students are exploring the world through a creative lens. Recently, Ms. Severino’s 9th-grade Global History students designed detailed, professional brochures focusing on African countries of their choice.
This initiative was designed to celebrate the immense diversity of the African continent and inspire a deeper appreciation for its many nations.
Project Highlights
Cultural Deep Dive: Each brochure is meticulously organized into specialized panels, highlighting the country’s unique history, geography, culture, and arts.
Interactive Elements: Blending technology with tradition; students incorporated QR codes into their designs. Viewers can scan these codes to listen to popular music from the selected country for a truly immersive experience.
Global Vision: The goal of this project was to move beyond the classroom—educating the community and inspiring others to one day visit and experience these beautiful nations firsthand.
We are incredibly proud of the research, design skills, and creativity our 9th graders poured into this work, with help from their awesome teacher, Ms. Severino!
A special shout out to Heaven for taking awesome pictures and Ms. Moreira for highlighting Ms. Severino's freshman class and their hard work.
