The High School of Fashion Industries (HSFI) student-staff improvement teams continue to strengthen our school community by promoting HSFI’s seven Success Skills:

  • Be Kind

  • Be Creative

  • Be an Effective Communicator

  • Be a Constructive Problem-Solver

  • Work Hard

  • Be Dependable

  • Embrace Technology

  • Be an Informed and Contributing Member of Society

Throughout the school year, these teams collaborate on initiatives and activities that encourage students and staff to embody these values both inside and outside the classroom.

Kindness Week Begins

This month, the Be Kind (Kindness) Improvement Team proudly hosted a special Week of Kindness designed to spread positivity, strengthen connections, and celebrate the power of compassion within the HSFI community.

s

The week officially kicked off on Monday morning with a vibrant Kindness Chalk Activity outside the school entrance. As students, teachers, and staff members arrived at the building, they were welcomed by colorful chalk messages featuring uplifting words, inspiring quotes, and thoughtful reminders about kindness, respect, and community.

The activity transformed the entrance into a bright and encouraging space, setting a positive tone for the week ahead. Community members were also invited to participate by adding their own messages of encouragement and appreciation, creating a collaborative display that reflected the creativity and spirit of HSFI.

Building a Positive School Culture

The Kindness Week initiative highlights the importance of empathy, inclusion, and support within our school environment. Through simple acts of kindness and shared experiences, HSFI continues to foster a culture where every student feels seen, valued, and connected.

The Be Kind Improvement Team looks forward to continuing activities throughout the week that encourage students and staff to uplift one another and demonstrate the Success Skills in meaningful ways every day.
