HSFI continues to nurture its meaningful partnership with the The Good Dog Foundation, bringing moments of joy, calm, and connection to the school community. Guided by the foundation’s motto—“Some dogs can help humans heal. Our mission is to teach them how.”—these visits have become a valued part of the school’s wellness initiatives.

In the month of February, Bruno, a friendly and affectionate therapy dog, visited campus and quickly became the center of attention. Students and staff alike brightened at the opportunity to spend time with him. Whether stopping by for a quick pet between classes or taking a few quiet moments to sit with him, members of the HSFI community found comfort and relaxation during Bruno’s visit. Bruno, in turn, happily soaked up the attention, wagging his tail as students and staff gathered around to greet their furry guest.

These visits are part of HSFI’s broader commitment to supporting student well-being. Our school’s Restorative Justice program maintains the partnership by hosting monthly spaces where students and staff can interact with a therapy dog in a calm and welcoming environment. These sessions provide a moment of pause during busy school days and help foster a sense of connection, belonging, and emotional support across the community.

For many students, the presence of a therapy dog can ease stress, encourage positive interactions, and simply offer a moment of joy. As HSFI continues its collaboration with The Good Dog Foundation, visits like Bruno’s serve as a reminder that sometimes the simplest forms of care—a wagging tail and a friendly nudge—can make a meaningful difference in the school day. 🐾
