On our recent campus visit, 32 of our motivated 9th graders got a first-hand look at university life at Brooklyn College. From standing in a grand university lecture hall to taking pictures of "Space Fish" on the scenic campus grounds, our students began visualizing their paths toward higher education.

A highlight of the day was our students’ participation in the Good Luck Bell tradition! Each student took a turn touching the bell to ensure a positive start to the Spring Semester and to bring a bit of luck to their upcoming Regents Exams.
Key Takeaways for Families
Affordability & Choice: Brooklyn College offers a world-class education at a fraction of the cost of private schools. While this trip focused on CUNY, we will continue to explore private, SUNY, and international universities throughout high school to find the perfect fit for every student.
Explore Your Interests: It’s never too early to dream big. Students can browse over 70+ undergraduate majors here.

Resources for Success: Every student received a CUNY Explorers Leaflet. We encouraged families to review this together, as it contains:
Financial breakdowns and College Myth-Busters.
A step-by-step guide to becoming college-ready in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.
Preparation starts now! We encourage all 9th graders to:
Maintain strong academic standing.
Get involved in clubs and extracurriculars.
Seek out volunteering opportunities.
Don't wait! Make a plan to meet with your school counselor and stop by our College Office in Room 729 to discuss your goals.
