During a recent meeting of the Be Creative Improvement Team, students and staff came together to collaboratively plan and discuss the upcoming all-staff and student exhibition. The team focused on how the exhibition can serve as a platform to celebrate creativity, innovation, and artistic expression across the school community. Through open discussion, both students and adults emphasized the importance of showcasing a wide range of creative voices and disciplines, ensuring the exhibition reflects diverse talents, ideas, and approaches to creative work.
As planning continued, the group reflected on past exhibitions and creative initiatives, identifying strategies that successfully engaged participants and areas that could be improved. Team members discussed how creativity flourishes when students are given meaningful opportunities to contribute ideas and take ownership of the process. Students shared the importance of having the freedom to experiment, collaborate, and present work in nontraditional ways, while staff highlighted the value of providing supportive structures that allow creative risks to thrive.
Looking ahead, the Be Creative Improvement Team developed a shared action plan for the exhibition that emphasizes collaboration and shared responsibility. Students will take an active role in curating artwork, designing displays, and helping shape interactive elements of the exhibition, while staff will assist with coordination and resources. By working together, the team aims to create an engaging exhibition that not only highlights student creativity but also inspires the entire school community to think creatively and embrace innovative expression.
