In an effort to deepen community bonds and promote a more collaborative school culture, the Restorative Justice Youth Leaders facilitated a series of Community Building Circles for the HSFI staff this week.

The initiative, part of the school’s expanding restorative justice program, invited teachers, administrators, and support staff to participate in guided conversations focused on trust, communication, and shared values.

Throughout the sessions, Youth Leaders led reflective prompts and team-building activities designed to strengthen relationships among staff members and model the restorative practices being introduced schoolwide. Participants described the circles as grounding, energizing, and an important reminder of the power of student voice in shaping a positive school environment.

School leaders say the circles mark an important step in fostering a more connected, empathetic, and restorative community—one where both students and staff feel supported and heard.
