Boy's basketball season is officially underway, and the Falcons opened their campaign with a nail-biting 40-39 win over Esperanza Preparatory Academy, followed by a hard-fought loss to West End Academy. Senior Shane Mcclam led the Falcons in scoring in both games.
In the victory over Esperanza Prep, the Falcons locked in defensively during the final minute, shutting down a potential go-ahead possession and preserving the one-point win. Mcclam paced the team with 17 points, while sophomore Andrew Colon added 8 points.
Against West End, Mcclam delivered another strong performance with 24 points, and Colon continued his steady play by contributing 10 points, scoring both inside and from the perimeter. Despite the loss, there were bright spots, as juniors Daniel Barona and Jeremiah Hicks each recorded their first varsity baskets.
