Queens

Students from AP Literature and Drama & Theater classes at the High School of Fashion Industries recently had the opportunity to attend a performance of Queens at City Theater, an engaging play that highlights the lives, challenges, and voices of immigrant women in NYC. The experience allowed HSFI students to see their own city reflected on stage, connecting themes of identity, ambition, and community to their own experiences in the urban landscape.

Following the performance, students reflected on the connections between the play and their own lives as NYC residents. They explored how storytelling and theater can mirror the complexities of city life and illuminate shared experiences among young people
