This trip has become an annual staple for the United States History and Government classes at HSFI. The trip begins at the Constitution Center, where the students are presented a performance of Freedom Rising. This illustrates the struggles and challenges of founding and maintains the American Experiment. The students visit Signers Hall, where there are life size bronze statues of the signers of the Constitution.

Next the class visited Franklin Printing Office. They were treated to a demonstration of how the printing process functioned in the 1700's. The park rangers showed them how to set type, ink press and then print on cloth paper. Some of the students purchased items printed at the shop.

After lunch we visited Christ Church where the founders sat for services while creating the government and the one-time tallest building in the country.
The students ended up visiting the second seat of government of the US. They were able to sit where the House of Representatives sat during Washington and Adam's administrations. The Senate or Upper House was on the second floor of Congress where they could see the committee rooms and Senate seats.
