Students in 10th grade Global Studies worked to show their understanding of the impacts of capitalism on factory workers during the Industrial Revolution.

During that time, the lack of laws that protected workers, gave them fair pay, and limited child labor had disastrous consequences for the working class Students were asked to make a 3D product that included the impact of the lack of laws on children, safety in the workplace, and wage disparity.  The requirements of the task used their research to design two visual panels and one informational panel.

These are also skills that HSFI's career paths use when designing a window display or creating a mood boards.  Part of this assignment was to connect the skills that students utilize in their CTE classes while learning historical content. It was a success!!!
