On Wednesday, November 12, our school community proudly hosted the fourth annual Manhattan High School Fair here at HSFI. Thanks to our close-knit team and our shared commitment to excellence, this event was once again a tremendous success.

Before anything else, we want to recognize the extraordinary commitment, professionalism, and leadership of our HSFI student ambassadors. They were the heart of this event. Their welcoming presence, maturity, and confidence left a remarkable impression on visiting schools and families. From guiding participants to answering questions with poise, they represented HSFI with excellence at every moment. We could not be more proud of how powerfully they showcased our community.
We extend a very special thank you to Ms. Silva, who oversaw the entire event with vision, precision, and calm leadership. She organized the flyer, coordinated the school sign-up process, and ensured that every logistical detail was accounted for. Her guidance was essential in creating a smooth, organized, and professional experience for all attendees.
This year’s fair ran seamlessly and left a strong, positive impression on prospective students and their families. The energy and professionalism displayed across our building truly reflected the spirit of HSFI.
We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible faculty, who dedicated their Wednesday evening—after a full day of teaching—to highlight the very best of our community. Thank you to Ms. Rochford, Ms. Parisse, Ms. Rojas, Ms. Powell, Mr. Bonnet, Mr. Paquet, Mr. Jimenez, Ms. Ettenheim, Ms. Herreros Cruz, and Mr. Lachok for representing our six majors, college access programs, instructional supports, and all the opportunities HSFI offers.
A huge shoutout goes to Mr. Rau and the Physical Education department, along with Mr. Mendez, Ms. Donlon, Ms. Greene, Mr. Lubrano, Mr. Alhaidami, and Mr. Khoury, for sacrificing access to the third-floor gymnasium to ensure ample setup time. Your teamwork was essential to the fair’s success.
We extend sincere appreciation to our warm, welcoming Parent Coordinator, Ms. Pita, who greeted school representatives and families with kindness and guided them seamlessly throughout the building. She set the tone for what future families can expect when they enter the Main Office.
To our dedicated HSFI Admissions team—Ms. Abramayan and Ms. Moreira—thank you for your exceptional planning and attention to detail. Your preparation ensured that every piece of the event fell into place with ease.
Thank you to School Safety, especially Level III Williams, whose support and partnership always strengthen our HSFI Admissions events.
We also recognize the tremendous effort of our custodial staff—Lisa Fiotto, Ray Cruz, and Greg Tedesco—whose behind-the-scenes work made everything possible. From securing 40 tables to handling requests and completing setup and breakdown, you ensured the building was ready for the next school day.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Blank for your leadership. Your “Walmart-style greeting” outside in 30-degree weather added the perfect personal touch to an already outstanding event.
We are sincerely grateful to every person who contributed to showcasing our vibrant, talented, and dynamic HSFI community. Together, we made this fair a true reflection of the High School of Fashion Industries—a place where professionalism, creativity, and community shine.
