The High School of Fashion Industries extends our gratitude to our students and their families for your unwavering support in helping us uphold the New York State policy on cell phones and internet-enabled devices at the High School of Fashion Industries. Your partnership has been instrumental in fostering a strengthened learning environment that is more focused, grounded, and deeply connected.

Teachers have spoken — they’ve shared stories of students collaborating with enthusiasm, raising thoughtful questions, and engaging in discussions that are alive with curiosity and creativity. They’ve noticed students arriving to class more present, more attentive, and more eager to contribute. The energy is palpable: group projects hum with collaboration, art and design classes flourish with imagination, and quiet moments of reflection are now richer and more meaningful.

One of the most striking examples of this shift came in the form of a simple photograph: Two students sitting across from each other, playing chess. No phones, no distractions — just concentration, mutual respect, and the joy of face-to-face interaction. Teachers have remarked on countless similar moments — students reading together, sharing ideas, problem-solving side by side — small snapshots that speak volumes about the supportive and engaged community we are building.

The High School of Fashion Industries has added hundreds of games, such as chess, and over 80 clubs to keep students engaged, connected, and inspired. These activities provide opportunities for increased teamwork, creativity, and leadership, ensuring that every student can find a space where their talents and interests can shine--without distraction!

We are proud of the progress we’ve made and deeply grateful for your role in making it possible. Together, we are creating a school culture where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally — fully present, fully engaged, and fully inspired. Your partnership is helping us turn everyday moments into meaningful learning experiences!
