As the new marking period begins, our 10th graders took a proactive step toward academic and personal growth by visiting the Wellness Office to set meaningful goals. This initiative aimed to inspire students to start Marking Period 2 with renewed energy, focus, and a clear sense of intention.
Throughout the visit, 10th graders engaged in goal-setting activities designed to encourage reflection on past achievements and challenges, while motivating them to strive for success in the weeks ahead. With supportive guidance from wellness staff, students crafted personalized goals that balance academics, mental health, and overall well-being.
“The goal is to empower students to take control of their learning journey and approach the marking period with confidence and purpose,” said Ms. Cabrera, the 10th Grade Attendance Teacher. “We want every student to feel energized and ready to level up.”

The session’s upbeat atmosphere was reflected in the students’ enthusiastic participation, accompanied by affirmations like “#GoalSetting,” “#NewMarkingPeriod,” and “#LevelUp” that echoed their commitment to excellence.

As the school community watches these young learners embark on this fresh chapter, there is optimism that this intentional start will lead to a successful and fulfilling marking period.
Here’s to a strong and focused Marking Period 2 — 10th graders are definitely bringing their “10 OUT OF 10” energy!
