Our Algebra 1 crew, Denyss, Gleidiannys, Kyleigh, Kayla, Star, Sebastian, Theodore, Lindsey, Phoebe, Sarita, and Sol, and more are up on their feet for some vertical learning! We’re using Illustrative Math to tackle equations collaboratively and keep our brains (and bodies!) moving.
In Algebra 1 ICT with Ms. Goldstein and Mrs. Klepacki, students stand, collaborate, and work right on the walls. Our students can easily share ideas, check each other’s reasoning, and see multiple strategies come to life in real time. Illustrative Math encourages rich discussion, peer feedback, and productive struggle, so students help one another make sense of each step and then quickly share their thinking with the whole class, building confidence while connecting visual, numerical, and algebraic reasoning. This activity overall helps boost team building, creative thinking, and showing off students mathematic intellect!
