This week the senior economics classes visited Ellis Island as part of the impact immigrants have had on the economics of America. Students attended a movie about this history of the island, search for their ancestorial names, performed a scavenger hunt and had their teachers pose as the Statue of Liberty. Many of the students lived in New York their entire lives but never experienced Ellis Island or the Statue of Liberty. A good time was had by all as they took advantage of the city they live in.
