Rainbow Project had such an epic adventure the weekend of May 9th thanks to a grant from Outdoor Journey Fund from Appalachian Mountain Club! We hiked, build campfires, learned about outdoor safety and survival skills, enjoyed beautiful scenery and got the chance to disconnect and enjoy the great outdoors!
Each student had a 4-5 hour window where they served as leaders during which they had to problem solve and consult with fellow campers to in order to make the best decisions for the group. Students also made awards for each other that they presented on campfire night, highlighting something positive that they observed in a fellow camper.
