The Fur New York program is open to fashion design students in their junior year by way of recommendation from their fashion design teacher. Students participate in a workshop twice a week where they learn how to work with fur. The classes are taught by Mr. Jerry Sorbara, a well known furrier and pattern-maker in the fur industry. The program commitment is 3 semesters, during which students will work on several projects that showcase their knowledge and ability in fur design. In addition to hands on experience in the classroom participants of this program are also required to intern with a furrier to gain more experience. WHEN? Monday & Wednesday: 4-6pm WHERE?
